Before we head to our accommodation, we will make a grocery shopping stop. Buy food for the weekend. Our accommodation has a kitchen with all facilities. Possible to barbeque in the evenings (buy coal).
On the way to our accommodation we will stop in Dueodde. It is a famous beach area on the southern tip of the island, known for its exceptionally fine white sand, large dunes, clear Baltic Sea water, and scenic coastline. It is one of Denmark's most popular beaches.
In the evening, we will arrive at our accommodation on the edge of Svaneke. You can spend your free time wandering through the smallest marker town in Denmark, colorful old streets, browsing artisan shops and galleries, visiting the harbour and lighthouse (not open to the public), enjoying local smoked fish and beer, and taking a scenic walk along the Baltic Sea coast.
Today we will meet a local guide and spend the day discovering northwestern Bornholm. We will visit the beautiful towns of Gudhjem and Allinge, hike the cliffs at Stammershalle, visit one of the island's three castle ruins - Hammershus Castle and walk in Hammerknuden coastal area where you can see dramatic cliffs and sea views. If the weather permits, we can also go and visit Opal lake. Along the way you will get to know the most important historical places. You will also learn about life on Bornholm nowadays.
