This tour will take you to the very north of Sweden, close to the Norwegian border. It's your chance to experience the best of Swedish Lapland! Weather permitting, there will also be a possibility to visit Narvik and see the stunning Norwegian fjords. The world’s northernmost ski resorts Riksgränsen and Björkliden are known for the snowy mountains and legendary skiing. In these remote areas, you will be able to see what true nordic wilderness is all about. You can also try snowshoe hiking or cross country skiing in the fells, and of course, keep your eyes open to spot the magic of Northern Lights!

DAY 1 - Departure

The departure time might change +/- 2 hours.

You will select the exact departure place from the available one, when booking the trip.

21:00 Departure from Uppsala, Radisson Blu Hotel, Stationsgatan 4

22:30 Departure from Gävle, in front of the railway station

Overnight on the bus. Some gas station breaks on the way depending upon the driver's schedule.
At the gas stations, you can find toilets and cafes.

DAY 2 - Arrival in Lapland

01:00 Departure from Sundsvall, Nackstavägen 16E

04:30 Departure from Umeå, Ålidhems centrum, parking lot by "Lidl"

10:00-11:00 Stop for breakfast in Överkalix. Possibility to buy sandwiches, pastries, snacks, coffee, etc.

12:00 Estimated arrival in Kiruna and meeting your tour guide. Grocery shopping break at Coop and ICA supermarkets. We continue the drive towards Björkliden.

13:00 Departure from Kiruna, at Coop/ICA supermarkets

17:00 Check-in at our accommodation in Björkliden. Free time to settle in and explore the surroundings.

DAY 3 - Day trip to Norway (optional), Night snowshoe orienteering (optional)

Day activity - Road trip to Norway

Ready to depart towards the mighty Norwegian fjords! We will make photostops on the way to marvel at the magnificent views. And if you’re brave, you will have the opportunity to take a dip into the ice-cold water! We make a stop in the historical town Narvik and walk around the main sights together with our guide, followed by free time to explore the city. Things to do in Narvik: hike up to Narvik mountain or take the cable car, visit the WWII museum, have lunch in the city.

What more? Challenge yourself with an invigorating arctic swim in the fjord! (you will change your clothes in the bus)

Weather permitting! On stormy days the road to Narvik may be closed.

Evening activity - Night snowshoe orienteering

We will get to experience one of the most ancient ways of moving in deep snow, which is still used today. We get off the beaten track and explore a winter wonderland that would be hard to access on foot or skis. What a better way to immerse yourself in nature!

DAY 4 - Arctic survival course (optional), Hike in Abisko National Park with fika (optional), Meet the reindeer (included)

Morning activity - Arctic survival course 

Today we will master real wilderness survival skills. You will learn how to build a shelter and make a fire without matches.

Early-afternoon activity - Hike in Abisko National Park with fika

Snow-covered mountains frame the beautiful Abisko valley, where frozen rapids, frost-covered tundra, and the icy Torneträsk lake create a breathtaking Arctic scene. The guide will take you on a short hike and show you the Abiskojåkka river canyon, Sami art work and other points of interest. For the brave ones there will be a chance to take an ice-cold dip in the lake. After that, enjoy fika in the Abisko visitor centre, which is included in the price of the activity.

Late-afternoon activity - Meet the reindeer

We will visit an authentic Sámi village, Rensjön, where you will learn about the traditional way of life of the indigenous people of Sweden, the Sámi, their deep connection to the land and the significance of reindeer herding. In addition, you will get to feed the reindeer and take lots of photos with them.

DAY 5 - Husky safari (optional), Cross-country skiing (optional), Night arctic survival course (optional)

Morning activities - Husky safari and Kiruna 

We start the day early in the morning but don’t worry, your mood will be instantly lifted when you meet your new furry friends! A visit to a traditional sled dog kennel and a sleigh ride through the snowy forest is a highlight of any Lapland trip.

Kiruna is known as “the city on the move” and with our guide, we will learn why. We check the main sights and learn more about the importance of Iron Ore mining in Kiruna. In your free time enjoy a fika at a local cafe.

Afternoon activity - Cross-country skiing for beginners

We will get to try one of the oldest winter sports, which is also the national sport of the Nordics.

Night activity - Night arctic survival course

Unleash your inner adventurer and embark on an unforgettable journey with our arctic night survival course. Designed to test your limits and expand your wilderness skills, this 12-hour experience will equip you with the knowledge and techniques necessary to thrive in the harshest arctic conditions.

During the 12-hour activity you will:
- Make your own shelter and sleep a night in it in arctic conditions;
- Learn how to make your own “survival box”, and to use your environment to your advantage;
- Have the opportunity to cook breakfast over an open fire;
- Get a lot of additional information on how to survive in the wilderness.

Important! This course can only be booked upon arrival, where your guide will provide further details and after completing Arctic Skills.
Important! Activity subject to weather conditions. Should your guide consider the conditions not suitable, the activity will be rescheduled or altered.
Important! In case of insufficient number of participants, the activity will be refunded.

DAY 6 - Departure

10:00 Cleaning the rooms and check-out. Returning rental clothes.

11:00 - 12:00 Departure back home

14:00 Stop in the supermarket to buy lunch and snacks for the journey home.

12:00 - 14:00 Estimated arrival in Kiruna. End of the trip if your departure point was Kiruna.

21:00 - 23:00 Estimated arrival in Umeå. End of the trip if your departure point was Umeå.

Day 7 - Arrival home

Should you need to book a transfer after the trip, please, consider only departure

- 4 hours after the expected arrival time for train/ferry/bus ticket;

- 6 hours after the expected arrival time for flight tickets

23:30 - 02:30 Estimated arrival in Sundsvall. End of the trip if your departure point was Sundsvall.

03:30 - 05:30 Estimated arrival in Gävle. End of the trip if your departure point was Gävle.

05:00 - 07:00 Estimated arrival in Uppsala. End of the trip if your departure point was Uppsala.

06:00 - 08:00 Estimated arrival in Stockholm. End of the trip if your departure point was Stockholm.

Each cabin includes a living room with a kitchen and a TV and a bathroom with a shower and WC.

Cottages/apartments include the same amenities but the style and cottage size can vary according to the availability.

The accommodation can have 4-5 people.

Wi-Fi is ONLY available in the receiption building during opening hours.

Sleeping bag is not allowed!

The final cleaning or damage repair is not included. In case the accommodation is not in the same conditions as when you arrived, a 250€ fee will be charged.
